Presentation of the Discovery Building

On 2nd February, Colonial’s commercial team presented the Discovery Building to the agents of Madrid’s Real Estate sector. Among the attendees at the official presentation of Colonial’s most recent prime office building were the JLL and CBRE commercial teams, who co-share exclusivity of the building’s marketing, and the Cushman & Wakefield, Savills Aguirre Newman, Belbex and Adventum teams, among others.

The Discovery Building is Colonial’s first Prime Factory office building and is located on the Paseo de la Castellana, one of the areas with the largest concentration of business activity in Madrid. Designed by the prestigious Estudio Lamela architectural studio, the Discovery Building has been designed to achieve the LEED Gold NC certificate, the best sustainability guarantee a building can obtain.

Abraham Martínez, Colonial’s business manager for Madrid, was responsible for opening the presentation event. Juan Manuel Ortega, Chief Investment Officer, also took part in the presentation, explaining the reasons for the Discovery Building and the context and current situation of Colonial in which this building’s presentation was defined.

On behalf of JLL, José Miguel Setién (Business Director for JLL offices in Spain) explained the marketing conditions, and then Juan Arenillas from CBRE presented the new marketing tools that will be used for renting Colonial's first Prime Factory office building. These include:

The virtual tour of the Discovery Building, an immersive and digital experience that transports the future tenant to what will be their office without having to move. In addition, for this occasion, and to continue with this experience, a Spotify playlist has been created to give the building its own soundtrack and contribute to creating the property’s identity. Finally, a remarkable time lapse video has been created in which the development of the building’s construction can be appreciated.

To close the presentation event, attendees enjoyed a speech on "The Infiltrated Communicator" by speaker Bill Holden. The communication expert proposed new ways of communication and property presentation to the agents of the Real Estate sector. He also stated that the Discovery Building is a work space designed by and for people; a building designed to be lived and enjoyed.
